Today’s post is about art deco dresses (though not art deco wedding dresses: they get a separate category). These are just some gorgeous vintage looks we’ve come across that would be perfect for a 20s themed engagement party or art deco engagement shoot. And not just dresses, but a skirt and top too!
…this art deco silk flapper skirt by Alberta Ferretti. Um, YES PLEASE. It looks a bit like pleating in the photo, but no: per the description, it is in fact flapper fabulous “knotted fringing.” Add that gorgeous art deco crystal pattern at the top, and you’ve got the perfect roaring twenties look.
These next tops come to us via Miss Selfridge, and they are just lovely. On this first one, I was just so struck by the color and that pearl beading… it’s gorgeous!
And this is another gorgeous look: a sheer art deco blouse, also from Miss Selfridge:
And finally, if you’re in the mood for true vintage and not just retro inspiration, check out this beauty from Palm Beach Vintage. Pretty as a picture, with roaring twenties peacock colors and intact sequins, this is a gem of a find (and they’ve got a lot of interesting sequin-trivia as well!).
