1920’s Wedding Dresses || Galia Lahav

In search of more 1920’s wedding dresses to feature, we recently stumbled upon a designer we were instantly, madly, deeply in love with.  The designer? Galia Lahav. The photo that took our breath away (and zoomed this post to the top of the queue)?  Take a look:

GASP. That’s kind of all there is to say. It’s not even a word, it’s an exclamation and feeling and a… well, GASP! I just love that photo (and gown) so much. We quickly tracked down the rest of the collection, the perfectly named Homage to the Sizzling 20s. This collection has it all, and we’re now forever fans of Galia Lahav! Art Deco Wedding Dresses || Temperley London

It’s impossible to understand why on Earth we haven’t done a post featuring one of our favorite art deco-inspired wedding dress designers, Alice Temperley and Temperley London, but it seems that we have not. But it’s always wow all around when we spot an art deco Temperley London gown…

Art Deco Wedding Dresses || BHLDN

If you’re planning a vintage theme wedding (an art deco wedding, a 1920s wedding, a 1930s wedding… basically any beautiful vintage era), then you probably already know about BHLDN, the vintage wedding focused offshoot of Anthropologie. If somehow you’re not already familiar, one glance at their lookbook should be enough to win you over….

They’ve got everything from shoes and accessories, to gowns, to decor, but today we’re going to focus on their wedding dresses, which are gorgeous and (relatively) reasonably priced, starting at less than $600. You can click on the images below to see the full slideshow!

Art Deco Gowns || Johanna Johnson 2013 ‘Still Is The Night…’

We’ve featured the gorgeous designs of Johanna Johnson before (both her Trousseau Bridal collection and her RIDICULOUS-IN-THEIR-BEAUTY 1920s headbands and art deco jewelry)…

…and today we need to bring your more deco-y goodness in the form of her 2013 collection, “Still Is The Night, Not So My Heart…”, inspired by the Ziegfield Follies chorus girls of the 20s. Click thumbnails for larger (and not headless– I can’t fix those thumbnails for some reason. Apologies!) images of these incredible gowns and accessories…

1920s Inspired Dresses || Jenny Packham 2013

We’ve featured the 1920s inspired dresess of Jenny Packham before, and you all have probably already seen this year’s collection as well, as the images were released earlier in the year (though several of the dresses still haven’t been…). But we would be remiss if we didn’t post this collection anyway because OH MY GOD ARE YOU KIDDING ME:

Yeah. And it’s all that good. 1920s, 1930s inspired, soft and and feminine and absolute perfection. Take a look! (click the thumbnails for full size).

1920s Style Winter Wedding || Hannah + Ali

Well, I’m just in love with this gorgeous 1920s style winter wedding, which comes to us via Steve Gerrard Photography. Twinkly lights, fabulous bold colors, and gorgeous photos.

Modern couple, vintage style galore, with every element you could want. Classic art deco venue? Check. Beautiful clothes? Check. Stylishly 1920s themed but in no way staid and actually kind of looking like you wish you’d been invited because it looks like a hell of a party? Check, check and double check! Of course, it always helps if the bride and groom are gorgeous too. Check, and check. Simply beautiful wedding.

Art Deco Gowns || Jenny Packham 2012

Usually I will pull and highlight one or two gowns from a designer’s collection, gowns that capture perfect art deco style, that evoke the 1920s without seeming costume-y… but Jenny Packham‘s 2012 Bridal Collection is so on-point, so gorgeous from start to finish, I’ve got to show you half of the dresses, because they are ALL AMAZING. Like, can you argue with this:

Or this gorgeous 1930s style gown?

Or this perfectly art deco wedding dress?

You cannot argue. They must be seen! So lovely. Click the thumbnails below to see full size images and names for all these beauties.
