Music is a vital part of any wedding, but vintage themed weddings in particular benefit from the perfect soundtrack. Luckily, the ’20s and ’30s offer an embarrassment of riches on the musical front! If you’re anything like me, the problem will be narrowing the playlist. If you don’t have a huge collection of 1920s/30s music already, this set is a great place to start:
They’re not all gems (and personally, we probably wouldn’t include “Whistle While You Work” even in a Disney-themed wedding…) but it is a HUGE (170+ songs) collection, and it features some incredible performances. It’s a great overview of the period, and the perfect way to get a sense of artists you might like to explore further.
We’ll be highlighting specific songs and performers in future posts, but this collection is a bargain at twice the price, and a perfect place to start.
