Looking for 1920s wedding makeup inspiration? Pretty easy now, right? I love this brave new world of Pinterest and Tumblr and Google image search, and the ease with which you can find and collect the perfect images (back in MY day we had no such tools, young ladies! AND we had to walk ten miles to school in the snow! Harrumph.). And these days you can just stumble on a perfect image like this:

Makeup & hair assistant: Earl Simpson for judyinc.com.) and info on the gowns and jewelry which you can find by clicking through to their original post. Gorgeous! What a great find from GlamourDaze! A promotional video from the ’30s with five different featured hairstyles (or as the oh-so-delightful announcer puts it, “five new creations for mi’lady’s coiffure.”) These are some seriously gorgeous looks, mi’ladies! ( I also really enjoy how annoyed the brunette on the left looks. She is the Kristen Stewart …
We’ve posted a few 1920s makeup looks before, but it’s hard not to keep coming back to that flapper favorite (and modern trend), the smokey eye. Just ask our previously featured art deco Hollywood style icons Myrna Loy, Louise Brooks and Clara Bow… So today I’m posting because I came across a really excellent video …
The one-shoulder look came (back?) into fashion sometime in the last few years, and while admittedly at its worst it can be a little Wilma Flintstone-esque, at its best it evokes a fabulous, Grecian/20s/art deco feel. For example, you’ll find it hard to argue with these one shoulder wedding gowns, including this first one by …
