Well today we’re talking sapphire art deco rings, and honestly I could post pics of these all day. It’s been a while since we did a jewelry post, especially a “I will never have that….but I need to have that…but I can never have that… but I NEED THAT NOW” kinda jewelry post, so we’re here to fix that. Let’s get all covet-y and green with envy over whomever owns these gorgeous blue stones.
First up, this gem of a gem, and good GOD do I love this ring. It kinda made me feel almost sick to my stomach when I saw it at first? I loved it so much? That actually happened.
I’m a sucker for that simple rectangular cut, and I flat out adore this masculine ring, via Lang Antiques. Deep, gorgeous midnight blue sapphire, 2.50 carats and highlighted on each side with twinkling diamond ‘V’ shape shoulders with calibre sapphire triangle motifs and bottom accents.
Next is an unusual piece, it’s got an almost Streamline Moderne quality to it (maybe the bullet-esque shape of the stone?) and it’s weird and I love it.
It comes to us via 1stDibs, this gorgeous 12 carat sapphire art deco ring, and it’s strange and lovely, no? It would go perfectly with those earrings from our Something Blue post from a while back…
Finally we’ve got another 1stDibs find, this more classical sapphire art deco ring, original hand made filigree platinum and oh-so-lovely, I think we can all agree.
There really is something special about a sapphire. Gorgeous rings, all!
Those of us born in December may have to battle the holiday season for a little bday attention of our own, but at least we’re lucky enough to have not one, not two, but three “official” birthstones: Zircon, Turquoise and Tanzanite. All three are various shades of blue (ideal for brides in the market for their …
Not all of us are blessed with a treasure trove of beautiful heirloom jewelry, passed down to us from our fabulously wealthy and stylish great-grandmothers. Not everyone can just reach into their closet and pull out the perfect true vintage art deco brooch, or flapper pearls to make the outfit sing. What’s a vintage-loving girl …
Today we’re going to take a moment to share some gorgeous vintage art deco jewelry finds with you all, some perfect for purchase, some sadly only for pinning (and pining!). Opal is an October birthstone (the other is tourmaline), also beautiful. But today? Opal! From GIA: The name of this, the traditional October birthstone, is …
Just a quick post today, a sort of mish-mash of art deco bits and pieces I’ve found while poking around the net for content for our site. The theme? Blue! Now, I myself am quite a superstitious sort, so you’d better believe I had my “something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue” …
