Looking for 1920s wedding makeup inspiration? Pretty easy now, right? I love this brave new world of Pinterest and Tumblr and Google image search, and the ease with which you can find and collect the perfect images (back in MY day we had no such tools, young ladies! AND we had to walk ten miles to school in the snow! Harrumph.). And these days you can just stumble on a perfect image like this:
Love! One thing I do not love, however, is the fact that all this distribution and reblogging and repinning and reuploading means oftentimes the images float around with no credits attached, no source connected. Which is wrong! And which is why I try to track down the original source of anything we post. Like these (amazing, incredible, stunning, perfect) photos, which I found floating around in the Pinterest ether with no sources or info….
But I tracked them down! I found ’em. (I think.) Looks like they went up at WeddingBells, which is how I found the credits (Photography by Carlyle Routh. Styling by Vanessa Taylor.
