Elegant Vintage Country Club Wedding | Laura + Gino
This elegant vintage country club wedding from Windy City Production features beautiful classic design elements, with a spectacular church and reception venue!
From the bride:
We didn’t go too far out of the box for our wedding. I wanted it to be classy, elegant, and really magical. It was a very classic wedding but that is such a true reflection of Gino and I that I think the simplicity of it was really special.
Fortunately Medinah Country Club is so spectacular in and of itself, decorating it was really easy! Especially because I am very simplistic. I really wanted to play on the vibrant colors inside of Medinah so I went with a more monochromatic base as far the linens, and then I added different textures such as sequins and crystal to really brighten the room.
Q: Do you have any wedding planning or marriage advice that you’d like to share with other couples planning their day?
A: Keep it simple!!! Less is sometimes more. I feel like a lot of people think that they need to have very grand flowers or a very grand dress and sometimes that’s not the case. Simple can be so beautiful! If you are going to spend the most money on one particular area I would recommend it be the venue. That way the decorating is easy! Find something with good bones and it will all fall into place.
Lastly, never forget to look around. This sounds simple but the day is overwhelming and it’s easy to just keep looking straight ahead. Look into your loved ones eyes when you are walking down the aisle, at dinner simply just take a minute to look around at people’s faces and how much fun they are having, and don’t forget to constantly tell your husband or wife what an amazing time you’re having.
After all it’s the best day of your lives! You’re going to forget so many small details but it’s these moments that will stick with you.
