Up today we have this spectacular winter wonderland elopement from Sheena Shahangian Photography. Sweet, simple and SNOWY! Bundle up and take a look.
From the photographer:
Lyndzie and Hans, a couple from Texas, knew they wanted to elope in a winter wonderland, so naturally they decided on coming out to Colorado in hopes of sharing their vows on a snowy afternoon in the mountains. While Colorado’s weather is anything but predictable, as luck would have it, a light sprinkling of snow started right at the beginning of their ceremony and continued throughout the entire afternoon.
The two of them wanted to get married at an overlook near Breckenridge, CO. They were bringing along a small group of friends and family to celebrate with them, so they wanted a spot that felt cozy, but also big enough to fit their small little group of loved ones. Normally at their ceremony spot, you can see mountains for miles, but the snow ended up getting so intense that they were essentially shrouded in layers of powder coming down from the sky. It honestly couldn’t have been more magical, though. It felt like we were inside our own private little snow globe and the rest of the world was standing still.
After their mountainside ceremony wrapped up, we made our way into the town of Frisco, so Lyndzie and Hans could pick up a bottle of champagne to celebrate with.
We headed back up into the mountains, where they popped it, drank straight from the bottle, shared their first dance together, and ran around the mountains as the snow raged on. Looking at the two of them having a blast, you’d honestly have no idea how cold it was that day.
