It’s been a while since we checked back on the collection of vintage style wedding dresses at one of our favorite 1920s + 30s inspired online bridal retailers (the reliably swoon-worthy BHLDN) but we took a look over the weekend at some of their newer gowns and WOW. And yay! And wow.
First up, one of the loveliest we’ve seen yet from any of their collections, this is the Jacinda:
YES. This one is a BHLDN exclusive and probably our favorite of the newer gowns. The 1930s blouson look is already a classic, but this version is elevated by that carefully bejeweled illusion neckline, and the romantic covered buttons up the back. Absolutely gorgeous.
Equally lovely is the spare and elegant Alice gown. No frills, no fussiness, just clean lines and pure glamour.

Also lacy, also feminine, also classic is the April gown. With a more fitted silhouette, but a lovely vintage flair, this is another gown that looks absolutely smashing with a sash:
Finally we’d like to highlight the Fantasia gown. We are, admittedly, partial to that flowing Grecian look (as were the ladies of the 1920s!) and this gown is a dreamy embodiment of that classic style:

Well, its happened. We’ve fallen in love again, hard. Because we recently came across the designs of Eliza Jane Howell (actually designer Gill Harvey: the name is an homage to her grandmother) and we’re absolutely, crazily, 100% smitten with these incredible 1920s wedding dresses. 2024 update: Please note this popular post features a collection from …
It’s impossible to understand why on Earth we haven’t done a post featuring one of our favorite art deco-inspired wedding dress designers, Alice Temperley and Temperley London, but it seems that we have not. But it’s always wow all around when we spot an art deco Temperley London gown… (image via Brides.com) So how could …
Fashion trends come and go, but there will never be a year where we’re not all about the perfect vintage style of 1920s wedding dresses. Likewise, there will never be a year where a Jenny Packham collection debuts and we’re aren’t immediately floored, flabbergasted, gobsmacked and IN LOVE. Case in point: Jenny Packham bridal 2018, …
