There’s something undeniably romantic about winter weddings. Maybe it’s the coziness factor, or the potential for formal-wear snowball fights, or the opportunity to wear a lovely (faux) fur stole, or all of the above. But I love them!
One of the best weddings I’ve ever been to was a winter wedding in New York City, and I still remember it so fondly. While I’m certain the bride and groom were less-than-enthused about the massive snowstorm that overtook the city just hours prior, there was no denying it created an atmosphere of warmth and camraderie. Nothing like being handed a steaming mug of hot cider before the ceremony, just as you come in from the cold. Switch out of those boots and into some heels and you’re ready to party!
Which is why it should not surprise anyone that I loved this lovely art deco winter wedding, sent to us from Samantha Hook Photography. From the bride’s beautiful genuine vintage gown, to the fabulous venue, to the snowfall(!) just in time for photos, this looks like the perfect evening.
