Looking for 1920s wedding makeup inspiration? Pretty easy now, right? I love this brave new world of Pinterest and Tumblr and Google image search, and the ease with which you can find and collect the perfect images (back in MY day we had no such tools, young ladies! AND we had to walk ten miles to school in the snow! Harrumph.). And these days you can just stumble on a perfect image like this:
Love! One thing I do not love, however, is the fact that all this distribution and reblogging and repinning and reuploading means oftentimes the images float around with no credits attached, no source connected. Makeup & hair assistant: Earl Simpson for judyinc.com.) and info on the gowns and jewelry which you can find by clicking through to their original post. Gorgeous! Many thanks to the creators of these images, lovely 1920s makeup inspiration!

Today we’re showcasing some art deco wedding dresses from a favorite recent collection, Inbal Dror’s “Pure” line for Spring 2019. With a glittering and glamourous Old Hollywood feel, each of these gowns is a truly breathtaking vintage inspired delight. 2024 update: Please note this popular post features a collection from almost five years ago. Some …
Browsing through some art deco dresses yesterday I came across a brand I’d never heard of before, called Mignon. Some really lovely stuff! I think the reason I hadn’t seen these gowns before is that they are often marketed as formal/prom/dance dressess as opposed to wedding gowns, but some of them would be absolutely ideal …
Today we’re doing a quick post to share some of recent favorite 1920s style bridal gowns from BHLDN, a must-browse destination for any vintage inspired bride. First up we’ve got this gorgeous three-quarter sleeve bridal gown: Next we’ve got these two figure-skimming silk Johanna Johnson designs, either of which would be the perfect gown for …
