Art Deco Vintage Venue Inspiration Shoot | Arctic Club Hotel
Today’s truly spectacular Art Deco vintage venue inspiration shoot showcases one of the most gorgeous buildings in the entire Pacific Northwest (and perhaps west of the Mississippi), Seattle’s Arctic Club Hotel.
Stunning. Simply, perfectly, stunning. A Beaux-Arts beauty from 1918, and in today’s shoot, the perfect backdrop for some Art Deco wedding style from the following decade.
From the photographer, :
I’ve always wanted to shoot in the Dome Room, the centerpiece of the historic Arctic Club Hotel in Seattle. It is one of the most visually striking, unique, gorgeous spaces I have ever seen. I was thrilled when the Arctic Club agreed to partner with us on the shoot.
History: The Arctic Club was founded as a meeting place for those traveling to or from the Yukon gold rush. The Northern Lights Dome Room, featuring a huge impossibly-beautiful gilded dome, was the focal point of the club. The gorgeous Polar Bar is in the main lobby. On the exterior walls are terra cotta walrus heads. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
In keeping with the period and look of the room, we went of a 1920’s look, a Gatsby look..[..]..We shot at several location on the main floor, then much in the Dome Room. My intention was to showcase the Dome Room and its fabulous look.
I am very happy with how the shoot went, and am thrilled with the photographs.
